Therapy for Exploring, Identifying and Changing Relationship Patterns & Improving Connection
What is Attachment Theory?
Attachment theory is a concept that lends focus to the idea that our earliest relationships with caregivers can form how we relate to, position ourselves, and identify with other relationships in throughout our lives. It centers around secure attachment styles and insecure attachment styles and how they interact with one another in real time.
Relationships I work with:
Friendship/Platonic
Sometimes our friendships need a little tuning. I can help you learn about yourselves within the relationship you already have, and build on that so you can speak freely, with love and keep that strong connection.
Sibling
Our siblings are some of the first people we learn to communicate with. Together, we can build a strong communication and interrupt patterns that no longer serve your dynamic.
Lesbian, Queer, & Trans
Your relationship feels honest and built on a mutual desire to know one another in a deeper way. Maybe you want to build softness into your day to day together, especially when the world feels so brutal. We can work toward building a secure attachment and fulfilled, meaningful, joyfully aligned dynamic.
Traditional & Non-Traditional Romantic
Life changes us as people, which will change how we show up in our relationships. Whether you are dealing with communication issues, infidelity, grief, or just wanting to build on what you already have, I work in a gentle but direct, and collaborative way to address whatever you are navigating.

How I Work:
I use this attachment theory as a strong foundation for understanding how your relationship styles can complement one another, and how to build on a secure relationship rooted in trust, honesty, communication, patience, and play. We look at how attachment shows up in your life presently, and historically and work with it. I do not believe there is such a thing as a bad attachment style. We can work with all of them, in the same way we do with learning styles.
I will point out when I notice attachment styles and patterns showing up, and we will work through them and call them into the room so you will have the tools to manage conflict and challenging times on your own, without fear of losing one another or yourselves.
What to expect:
Consultation: I ask that everyone who will be involved in therapy be present so I can take the time to develop a plan with all of you and so everyone can be on the same page. I will check in with everyone about what they hope to get out of therapy together.
First session: I will check in with everyone to make sure we are all on the same page. I will give a small bit of education about attachment styles. We will discuss. I will ask what each of you feels the main issue is.
The next sessions are spent individually with each participant and me to understand a bit about your personal history. Please note, I do not keep secrets in couple’s/relationship therapy. I believe it is important to navigate challenges together.
Following sessions are all of us together. I will occasionally ask for individual session to check in.
