Self-Doubt, Self-Criticism, & Perfectionism

The thought of receiving a compliment is your own personal hell.

Maybe you relate:

  • You’re so afraid you’ll get it wrong, so you run through every possible scenario to be ready for everything

  • You feel like you’re always in trouble.

  • You feel responsible for the outcome of important situations

  • You feel like you can’t trust your intuition

  • You’re terrified of being hurt, so you rip yourself to shreds so no one can hurt you more than you hurt you.

  • You squirm at the idea of someone disliking you or seeing you differently than you see yourself.

  • You feel shame and guilt when you can’t accomplish something

  • You’re terrified of letting others down

  • It’s hard to name good qualities about yourself

  • If the project or thing you’re working on isn’t perfect, it’s not good enough.

  • You’ve been wrong before, and therefore you feel unreliable.

How I can help you with this:

I will help you identify the areas in your life that feel like they are out of your control. We will look at the thoughts and ideas you hold that make you feel like you are never good enough. I will help you sit with the discomfort of many things being true at the same time. We will work through your fears around this and learn about what acceptance, and self-trust looks like.

What feeling better can look like:

You are able to let things go. You sleep a little better. You accept that one mistake does not equate to your entire self-worth. You stop equating your output in the world to what you are worthy of. You learn to live by your intuition and trust your gut. You start to befriend the person you see in the mirror. You stop bullying yourself into trying to be perfect and accept progress and growth do not have to be about how good the optics look. You can receive a compliment and believe it. You learn to trust your inner wisdom.
